Chardonnay Flight

2000        Mia’s Playground (2005), Russian River Valley                                                              

Tasting Notes:  Deep straw in color, with aromas of white peach, sourdough toast, and light notes of beurre blanc. This vintage Russian River Valley Chard bursts with flavors of crème brulée, caramel covered apples, lightly toasted marshmallow, and kiwi fruit with hints of lemon meringue, apple bananas, and minerals.

 

2001        Charles Krug (2005), Carneros                                                                                                                                  

Tasting Notes: Our Peter Mondavi Family Carneros Chardonnay was fermented in small French oak barrels (21% new for six months) and stainless steel tanks giving the wine an aroma of brown sugar and tropical fruit.

Tasting Notes: This wine is bursting with aromas of citrus, marmalade, oak and a lovely toastiness. The palate is complex with a combination of ripe fruit, citrus, mineral flavors and oak. The aftertaste is long and lingering.

Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes:  What a truly refreshing sauvignon blanc, this wine has great mouth feel and is not very acidic.  Enjoy this wonderful wine today.

Tasting Notes: This wine's inviting and complex bouquet blends notes of peach, green apple, melon, banana, guava and grapefruit. Its silky texture, crisp acidity and long finish make it a delicious wine by itself or paired with your favorite cuisine. Enjoy!

Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris

2005        Kris (2006), Italy                                                                                                  

Tasting Notes:  Pale yellow in color with greenish reflections. The nose is reminiscent of acacia flowers and the delicate scent of almonds. Clean and refreshing on the palate with hints of linden and honey.

 

2006        Nobilo “Icon” (2005), Marlborough, New Zealand                                         

Tasting Notes:  This wine has excellent mouth feel and weight with a rich oily texture balanced acidity and long finish. The fruit is ripe and sweet with flavors of pear, melon and honeysuckle.

 

2006        Bodegas Lurton (2005), Argentina                                                                     

Tasting Notes:  Rounded and complex, very clean and fresh on the palate with a delightful aftertaste and well-proportioned fruit, acidity, and good all-round richness

 Cabernet Sauvignon

1001        Charles Krug Cabernet Sauvignon (2004), Yountville, California                

Tasting Notes:  Intense aromas of rose petals and roasted coffee beans integrate with the richness from our hand selected oak barrels, while flavors of dark cherries, cocoa and strawberry jam round out the flavor in a long, intense finish.

Tasting Notes: Juicy dark fruits overwhelm your palate.

 

1003        Byington Alliage (2002),                                                                                     

Tasting Notes:  Byington's Alliage is a soft, yet classically structured Cabernet, showing deep licorice-scented cassis fruit.

Pinot Noir

1300        Pedroncelli (2004),  Russian River                                                                                                                          

 Tasting Notes:  An elegant, medium bodied Pinot Noir. Aromas are bright, highlighted by strawberries and raspberries with clove and toast accents. In the mouth this wine is rich and velvety with juicy cherry and berry flavors. The finish is nicely balanced with moderate tannin.

 

1301        Steele (2005),  Carneros                                                                                      

Tasting Notes:  The wine shows strawberry and cherry preserves in the nose and on the palate along with well-integrated hints of oak, vanilla, and cassis. It has silky tannins and a pleasant medium-length finish with flavors of tobacco and plum.

 

1302        Alan Scott (2006),  New Zealand                                                                       

Tasting Notes:  a true expression of Pinot Noir with aromas of cherries, raspberries and violets which marry well with the new French oak. A smoky well structured and focused wine with soft tannins and good acidity, giving the wine a long lingering finish

1200        Hogue “Genesis” (2004),  Washington State                                                                              

Tasting Notes:  Wine Spectator 89 Points. The lithe, velvety style displays spicy oak, green olive and pretty blackberry and currant fruit which mingle effectively on the persistent finish. Should become a stylish red.

 

1201        Havens (2002), Napa                                                                                           

Tasting Notes: very rich, velvety, in a sense the most classic style for Napa Valley. This one is destined to be a crowd-please, especially if that crowd is enjoying good food. It offers some of the fullest body and deepest fruit of any vintage we’ve made of this wine, yet the tannins are round and mouthfilling, so the resulting wine on palate is still balanced . It answers affirmatively that a rich wine can be complex, nuanced, and elegant.

 

1202        Charles Krug Merlot (2004), Napa Valley                                                        

Tasting Notes: Our Peter Mondavi Family Merlot expresses wild berry and blueberry aromas, with a touch of roasted pecans. An artful blend composes this balanced wine giving it a chewy texture and an intense yet lenghty finish. Careful pruning and handling of the fruit during the year allowed for the best flavor, color and seed maturity at harvest.
